Social worker recognised in national awards

A social worker from Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust, has received nationwide recognition for their outstanding contribution to the social work profession.

The ‘Amazing Social Workers’ awards aim to highlight the achievements of individuals and teams in the profession, whilst also raising the profile and public understanding of the critical role of social work in our communities.

Charlotte Hall, Social Worker at Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust said: “Being nominated for this award is a real privilege. It’s a reflection of the passion and commitment of the entire team I’m fortunate to work with every day.”

Charlotte’s colleague, Nicola Jordan, who nominated her said ‘Charlotte works tirelessly to support those under her care and to support her colleagues. She is open, honest and brings authenticity to her interactions with people. She is able to harness her own experience of having a neurodiversity to positively support those around her, and to spread learning and awareness.

The awards are run by the British Association of Social Workers and have seen over 300 individuals and teams nominated by their colleagues this year, including frontline practitioners, students, managers, leaders, educators and newly qualified social workers.

Commenting on the awards, the British Association of Social Workers (BASW) UK Vice-Chair Lewis Roberts said: “BASW is proud to run our Amazing Social Workers’ campaign for its sixth consecutive year. It is a wonderful way for our profession to celebrate inspiring social work practice and pay tribute to the many individual and collective successes that deserve to be noticed.

“Congratulations to everyone who has been recognised this year and thank you for all you do everyday.”
