NHS charity raises vital funds in biggest golf day to date
Posted: 17 June 2025
Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust’s Better Lives charity has raised £12,993 thanks to local businesses, following its biggest annual golf day at Shipley Golf club.
The amount raised, which has doubled from last year’s golf day, will enhance care for communities across Bradford, Airedale, Wharfedale and Craven, to support their physical and mental wellbeing.
The funds will support additional activities for patients and carers across the Care Trust’s mental health, learning disability, community and children’s services that go beyond its core NHS provision.
A staggering 23 teams took part and this year’s winners were ‘Dar-tee Animals’ – Nick Swain, Kyle Addison, Josh Addison and Stephen Addison from Northern Data Communications LTD.
The Trust would like to thank Whitaker and Leach, MHA Architecture and The Yorkshire Clinic for kindly sponsoring the day and Shipley Golf Club for hosting the event.
The charity’s next fundraising event is the Dragon Boat Race on Sunday 29 June. For more details email betterlivescharity@bdct.nhs.uk.
