Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust has welcomed Warren Brown as Non-Executive Director (NED) to its Trust Board.

Warren brings a valuable professional and personal perspective to the Trust role, whose services cover Ilkley, Bradford, Wharfedale, Airedale and Craven.

Warren has considerable senior-level public sector experience including at the Department of Health, where he was responsible for a range of key policy areas.

More recently, following a number of Director level roles, he was Director of Performance and Improvement for two national bodies – NHS England and NHS Improvement – both nationally, and across the North-East and Yorkshire region.

Following retirement, Warren has been actively involved in local community initiatives, including supporting public safety measures and leading NHS wellbeing walks.

Warren Brown, Non-Executive Director, said: “I am excited to be joining the Board and I’m looking forward to working with the Executive team, to continue to drive service transformation and improvements for our local communities.”

Commenting on Warren’s appointment, Fran Stead Trust Secretary, said: “We’re thrilled that Warren has joined our Board, bringing a wealth of experience at both a national and regional level. It’s a key time for all Trusts as we continue to develop services, drive quality and support people to stay well in the community and ideally at home.“
