Work experience

Work experience is an opportunity for you to try out career ideas and different options. It’s a chance to find out more about your strengths, values, motivations and interests, develop your broader skills, such as teamwork and problem solving, and give you an insight into the world of work.

We offer a small selection of work experience placements of up to five days for young people in year ten and above, in the following settings:

• Reception and administration in our head office, New Mill.
• Library and knowledge services.
• Energy, waste and sustainability.
• Better lives charity and volunteering.
• Centre for clinical education and professional development.

All our placement sites have undertaken a risk assessment.  If you join us for work experience,  we’ll ensure that  there’s clear aims and objectives, so you get the most out of your time with us.
