NHS Trust raises over £5000 in Dragon Boat Race Festival

Posted: 08 July 2025

Staff and supporters from Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust competed in this year’s Dragon Boat Race Festival to raise funds for its Better Lives charity for the fourth year.

The Care Trust raced three boats, with one kindly sponsored by Coral Windows and Conservatories. They raised over £5,000, with the funds set to support additional activities for the Trust’s patients and carers that go beyond its core services.

Each dragon boat team had 16 paddlers and a drummer that co-ordinated their rhythm and timing. They raced 200 meters, starting just beyond Saltaire’s cricket pavilion and finishing in Roberts Park.
