Phil HubbardFrom 6 October, Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust’s Director of Nursing, Professions and Care Standards and Deputy Chief Executive, Phil Hubbard, will step in as the Acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for the organisation.

Phil is taking on the role to enable the substantive CEO Therese Patten to accept a 12-month secondment as interim Chief Executive for Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust (NLaG).

The secondment follows a decision by NLaG and Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust (HUTH) to disestablish their shared leadership model as part of NHS Humber Health Partnership.

Phil Hubbard’s career spans 40 years across hospital, primary, mental health, and community care settings.  A registered nurse, she has a strong track record of leading large scale improvement initiatives with partners, most recently as the Senior Responsible Officer for integrated neighbourhood health across Bradford District and Craven.

Chair in Common, Sarah Jones, said: “I’m delighted that Phil has agreed to step in as our Acting Chief Executive Officer to support the Trust during the period of Therese’s secondment. Phil brings with her considerable Board level, clinical and operational experience. I am therefore confident that she has the skills to lead the Trust while Therese is away.  We wish Therese well in her secondment at NLaG.”
