Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust is welcoming members of the public to its online public Board meeting on Thursday 25 March 2021, to hear updates on services, how the Trust is supporting the roll-out of covid-19 vaccinations across the district and how young people are making their voices heard through a mental health and wellbeing project.

Board meetings are an excellent opportunity for people across Bradford, Airedale, Wharfedale, Craven and Wakefield to learn more about the work of the organisation and its wider involvement in improving healthcare across the region.

This month, attendees will hear how children and young people are making a positive impact on each other’s mental health and wellbeing as the Board of Directors welcomes apprentices from Healthy Minds, a mental health and wellbeing resource for the Bradford and Craven district, to talk about their recent antibullying project.

The project, involving the Care Trust, Bradford district and Craven’s Clinical Commissioning Group, Healthy Minds, and Youth in Mind, enabled young people to produce and perform a song about kindness and its effect on wellbeing. The song, ‘K.C.U.’ (‘Kindness, compassion and understanding’), was penned by the apprentices to encourage their peers that to demonstrate these qualities in themselves.

Members of the public will also hear from the Trust’s director of nursing, professions, and care standards Phillipa Hubbard, who will provide an update on the progress of Bradford’s covid-19 vaccination centres, following the opening of the second site at Bradford College Old Building on Monday 15 March.

The Board will also discuss upcoming priorities, the chief executive’s monthly report and the Trust’s annual staff survey results.

The live online Board meeting will take place on the Microsoft Teams platform on Thursday 25 March 2021, 8.45am – 12.00pm.  For people wishing to attend, please contact the Foundation Office by email: or phone: 01274 363544.

The next public Board meeting will be Thursday 27 May 2021, timings tbc.
