Four intrepid explorers from the Trust are climbing the national three peaks this weekend for two mental health charities.

Pulling on their boots is our Chief Exec Simon Large, Medical Director Andy McElligott, Director of Finance Liz Romaniak and Cathy Wright Allied Health Professional Lead and CAMHS Occupational Therapy and Participation Lead.

The team will start their challenge Saturday afternoon in Scotland, climbing Ben Nevis. They’ll then travel through the night and climb England’s highest peak Scafell Pike Sunday morning before moving on to Wales to complete their challenge by climbing Snowden.

The team is raising money for national mental health charities Mind and Young Minds. They aim to complete their challenge within 24 hours.

Liz Romaniak, Director of Finance said: “We’re passionate about raising the profile of mental  health issues. It’s important to us that they  are viewed as equal to the physical ill health problems people face.  By raising awareness of mental ill health we can challenge the stigma that can so often surround it. We’re delighted to be fundraising for two fantastic mental health charities.”
