Fern Ward – Airedale Centre for Mental Health
Description
On Fern Ward at Airedale Centre for Mental Health we care for males aged 18 – 65 experiencing acute mental health difficulties.
Our specialised multi-disciplinary team including consultants, registered mental health nurses, healthcare support workers and occupational therapists will support you develop a person centred care plan.
Some of the therapy you might be offered on Fern ward includes solution focused therapy, goal setting and exposure therapy.
We are on the same site as Heather ward (female acute ward) and Bracken ward (older people’s acute ward). The three wards share some facilities including dining areas, the gym and activities room.
From 1 July 2015 all our in-patient sites became smoke free facilities.

Visiting times for Fern Ward
Please note all visits must be booked in advance on the ward.
- 2.00pm – 4.00pm
- 6.00pm – 8.00pm
If you are unable to visit during these hours, please discuss with the ward manager.

We accept referrals from GP’s, community mental health services, and emergency admissions via A&E.
