Airedale Centre for Mental Health is located on the Airedale General Hospital site. It provides 24-hour inpatient care by skilled, qualified and experienced nursing staff, doctors and other professionals who continually assess patients with mental health problems. The unit is an ‘all age’ service – this means that anyone over 18 with a functional mental health problem will be cared for here. The Centre caters for a diverse mix of patients with a wide range of needs and problems. It offers the latest in healthcare building design, for example every patient has their own bedroom with ensuite facilities.
Airedale Centre for Mental Health is made up of three wards;
- Bracken Ward – on Bracken Ward we care for anyone over the age of 65 who is experiencing acute mental healthÂ
issues.
- Heather Ward – on Heather Ward we care for females aged 18 – 65 experiencing acute mental health difficulties.
- Fern Ward – on Fern Ward we care for males aged 18 – 65 experiencing acute mental health difficulties.
