The Introduction to involvement (ii) network is a peer support group for service users and patients that have asked to join the Trust’s ‘involvement database’, so they find out about all the opportunities to get involved in the Trust’s work.
We are a friendly group of people involved in the work of Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust. You are welcome to join us.
We all use, or have used, the Trust’s mental health, learning disability or community health services and we want to contribute to improving services for others.
Supporting you to get involved
The Trust is committed to involving service users and carers as part of its You and Your Care Involvement Strategy (2015). We are also developing an ‘Introduction to Involvement’ (i2i) training session for people who are new to getting involved in Trust activities.
The i2i network offers you:
- Support in your involvement work.
- Training and involvement opportunities.
- A way of raising issues about service user/patient involvement.
- Being part of something and being able to ‘put something back’.
- Opportunities to develop confidence and self-esteem.
If you would like to find out more, come along to one of our meetings, or contact the patient and experience and involvement team for more details on 01274 228298.
We meet once a month, usually on a Thursday, from 1-3 pm, at Bradford District Care Foundation Trust, New Mill, Victoria Road, Saltaire, BD18 3LD.
Travel expenses are paid and we provide tea, coffee and biscuits.
