The Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) is leading the national NHS preparations for exiting the EU and is providing on-going guidance for NHS organisations, to support their planning.

Guidance for people using NHS services and NHS organisations is available on the following sites.  These sites are updated on an on-going basis and reflect the latest information:

  • NHS website – information for patients and the public including the continuity of supply of medicines (search for EU exit).
  • NHS England – NHS England has overall responsibility for commissioning health services and is providing guidance for NHS organisations and commissioners of health and care services, on preparing for exiting the EU.
  • Government website – details on the settlement scheme for EU citizens, including NHS staff, who are living in the UK.  There is also information for UK nationals on living and working in the EU.
  • Council guidance – Councils are providing broader guidance for their communities including Bradford Council and Wakefield Council where our Trust provides services.
