I am passionate about the NHS and the services it delivers. I have lived in Shipley for 22 years and worked for over 30 years in both a paid and unpaid capacity for statutory and third sector organisations in Bradford and the surrounding area. I have a good understanding of the diverse communities of Bradford and their needs and currently work as a volunteer coordinator for Pudsey Locality GP Practices which enables me to work with patients and encourage them to get more engaged in their own care. I am a trained counsellor and in the process of setting up my own business. In a voluntary capacity I am also a director of CNeT, a co-ordinator for the local Neighbourhood Watch Scheme and I sit on mental health hearing panels. In the past I have been a Samaritan, a School Governor and a member of numerous management committees and groups.
