Appointed Governors

Bradford born and bred, I am currently a manager at Sharing Voices Bradford which is a community development mental health charity that works with Black and Minority Ethnic communities.

My longstanding community development background has given me the knowledge and experience to understand and challenge the impact of the current social and economic factors that affect our wider communities.

I believe it’s important to work with diverse people(s) to promote understanding and to listen to and ensure that people feel they have been heard.  I feel that engagement with external stakeholders is key to ensure that our work meets the needs of the rapidly changing health and social care environment.

I was also an elected member of Bradford Council and sat on the Bradford Council Health and Social care Overview Scrutiny Committee for four years and still remain passionate about influencing the future decisions and directions of health and social care.

I am keen to help the Trust fulfil its obligations to the patients and its members. I want to make a difference, to influence decisions and effect change by giving a voice to all the residents of Bradford and District.
