Patients’ voice to be heard
Posted: Thursday, 19 May 2016
Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust is inviting staff and members of the public to attend its monthly Board meeting on Thursday 26 May.
Attendees will hear first-hand how patient experience is making an impact at the highest level of the organisation and helping to shape future services. Janine’s story will be discussed, focusing on her journey when receiving support from the Trusts’ Improving Access to Psychological Therapies mental health service – a service dedicated to supporting people with depression and anxiety disorders.
Michael Smith, Trust’s Chairman, said: “Service users, volunteers and NHS staff are fundamental to improving patient experience across our organisation. Listening and discussing people’s experience at our Trust Board is part of our involvement and engagement plans. By getting involved, people can make a valuable contribution in making sure that the Trust’s services work best for the people who use them.”
The provider of mental health, community health and specialist learning disability services will also discuss priorities of nursing over the coming year and quality and safety goals across the Trust.
The meeting will be held 1pm – 3.00pm at Bradford University, in the Boardroom, Room D2, Richmond Building, Richmond Road, Bradford, BD7 1DP.
