Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust is inviting people to attend its monthly Board meeting on Thursday 27 July.

The meeting will be held, 1.30pm – 3.30pm, at Admin Meeting Room, Lynfield Mount Hospital, Heights Lane, Bradford, BD9 6DP.

Attendees will hear first-hand how patient experience is making an impact at the highest level of the organisation and helping to shape future services.

At the meeting a patient who suffers from a range of illnesses, both physical and mental, will share her story of how the complex care team has made a positive difference by providing her with renewed hope for the future in helping to overcome obstacles in her life.

The complex care team supports people with complex care needs living across Airedale, Wharfedale and Craven who may have a high use of health and social care services. The team includes a range of health and social care professionals including doctors, advanced nurse practitioners in mental and physical health, a physiotherapist and personal support navigators.

Paul Hogg, Trust Board Secretary at the Care Trust, said: “Patient stories can be incredibly powerful, looking through the eyes of patients and carers and how they experience our services. People tell us what they think works well and also areas we can improve.  We want to deliver outstanding services and by listening and discussing people’s experiences at our Board it is one way we can make sure we are delivering the best possible services for our local communities.”

The provider of mental health, community health and specialist learning disability services will also discuss at the meeting its current performance, quality, finance and workforce and engagement with foundation trust members.  Board Papers, including the agenda for the Board meeting, are available by visiting the Trust’s website
