Spreading the festive cheer, Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust’s Better Lives Charity is thanking dedicated NHS staff for their hard work and commitment over the year with special treats over 10 days of festive fun.

Local businesses have teamed up with the Care Trust’s charity to donate gifts to hardworking NHS employees, many of which will be caring for patients over the festive period.  The initiative named ‘10 Days of Festive Fun’, will run from Monday 5 December until Friday 16 December and will see a member of staff randomly selected each day to receive a gift.

Catherine Jowitt, Head of Charity and Volunteering at the Care Trust said: “Our 10 Days of Festive Fun initiative is a great way to thank our colleagues for their hard work and putting patients first, and for the incredible effort staff have gone to over the past couple of years to support our communities through the pandemic.”

The gifts have been donated by local business, including: Morrisons Girlington, Asda Shipley, Morrisons Skipton and Sarah Firth Rocks.

The winners of the 10 Days of Festive Fun will be revealed on the Care Trust’s social media over the festive period. People can follow the activity on Twitter @BDCFT_BLCharity and on Facebook on the Better Lives Charity page.

Catherine Jowitt concluded: “This is a real treat for our hardworking and dedicated staff who go above and beyond for patients in their care every day. We’d like to thank all the local business involved for helping to make this a reality.”
