Lynfest performance from a previous yearBradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust will be staging LYNFEST, its award-winning annual festival of music and arts for in-patients experiencing mental health conditions and the staff at Lynfield Mount Hospital, on 31 July 2024.

The festival aims to create an inclusive environment that celebrates creativity while fostering a sense of community and healing. Through this event, patients will have the opportunity to engage with the arts, promoting recovery and emotional well-being.

Katy Grainger, Music Therapist, at Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust said: “We are thrilled to be returning to LYNFEST this year following a break with the pandemic. This festival represents a unique intersection of arts and healthcare, offering our patients and staff a chance to connect, express, and heal through creativity.”

At the event there will be individual performances from patients as well as local acts, a ‘Big Sing’, a photo booth and craft activities.  The Care Trust’s food services will be providing ‘Street Food’ and the hospital café will be open to all patients and staff, with fresh baking available.

This the Trust’s fifth LYNFEST and following its success and popularity the Trust also holds a LYNFROST event, which is a winter version of the event.
