Volunteering

Volunteers play an important role within our Trust, providing support to those people who use our services. We are committed to growing the opportunities for volunteering within our services and we are always looking for people who are interested in giving their skills and experience. Please click here to view BDCFT’s volunteer strategy.

Volunteering opportunities are available across the Bradford, Airedale and Craven District. We have a wide range of services, many of which take volunteers.

To find out further information about the Trust, and the services we offer, please visit Our Services page.

Age and commitment

You can volunteer at our Trust if you are aged 16 and above. The exception to this are the volunteering roles at the inpatient sites at Lynfield Mount hospital and Airedale Centre for Mental Health, where you need to be aged over 18.

Due to the time and effort that the recruitment process takes, we ask that you consider the commitment you can make. We rarely support short term, intensive volunteering opportunities.

Please consider whether this is a realistic commitment before applying.

If you are interested in multiple volunteer roles, please get in touch with us before applying using the contact details below.

The application form requires a reference from someone who has known you for two years. If this would be difficult, we encourage you to still apply, but please get in touch before starting the application form so we can help: volunteer@bdct.nhs.uk or 07387 546256

Unfortunately, we are unable to deal with any work experience requests. If you are interested in work experience then please contact LEND@bdct.nhs.uk.
