How did we do?
Friends and Family Test (FFT)
Patients and service users of our Trust services are regularly asked to give feedback on the care received as part of our commitment to improving services, this includes the NHS Friends and Family Test (FFT).
The Friends and Family Test (FFT) is a mandatory NHS England survey that all organisations providing NHS care must offer to people. The basic rule is that the opportunity to give feedback must be readily available at all appointments/encounters – in other words, the way to do this must be visible and they should be able to give feedback without having to ask staff.
We have three different versions of the survey available: an adult, an easy read and a child survey, as well as a few bespoke surveys for certain teams. Responding to the survey is simple, free, voluntary and anonymous and your care will not be affected in any way.
We really want to know about your experience of our services, as someone who uses them yourself, or if you help to look after someone who does (unpaid carers).

Update on the Friends and Family Test (FFT)
Normally, there are various ways FFT can be offered to you. This includes:
-
- QR codes.
- Online links.
- Email/ text.
- Paper survey.
- Telephone calls.
Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances with the provider of our survey, we have had to temporarily close all online options.
This means that we can only offer paper surveys from the 1 March 2024 for a short period of time. If you would like a copy of a paper survey, please speak to a member of staff, or see the links below to our online paper surveys, which you can print off, complete, and return to the Patient and Carer Experience and Involvement team at no cost using the freepost details on the front of the survey.
Alternatively, you can email your feedback to the Patient and Carer Experience and Involvement team at involve@bdct.nhs.uk, or call 01274 228298 and request to fill in a survey with a member of the team. The feedback will then be passed on to the relevant team.
We hope to have our online options sorted as soon as possible, and apologise for any inconvenience this may cause you.
