Patients and service users of our Trust’s services are regularly asked to give feedback on the care received as part of our commitment to improving services, this includes the NHS Friends and Family Test (FFT).

For community services, such as health visiting, district nursing or speech and language therapy, Care Trust staff will give patients the opportunity to leave feedback after every episode of care or contact. Patients receiving in-patient care on a hospital ward will be offered the same opportunity within 48 hours of being discharged, as well as during your stay.

Isla Skinner, Patient Experience Lead at the Care Trust, said: “We will use the feedback we receive to celebrate and build on what’s working well and identify areas where improvements can be made. All responses we receive will provide valuable information to help make sure patients and service users have the best possible experience of care.”

Staff at the Care Trust are using a number of ways to gather feedback. This includes providing people with a hand held device at the end of an appointment to ‘tap in’ your answer, or handing people a card with a web address so that you can complete feedback at a later date.

Responding to the survey is simple, free, voluntary and anonymous and your care will not be affected in any way.

We welcome your feedback on any aspect of your care. If you have recently received care from our Trust and would like to leave your Friends and Family Test feedback please visit our web page.
