Service developments in 2018/19

Work is now underway to develop the Care Trust’s services and deliver service improvements that are outlined in the Trust’s two-year operational plan for 2017/19.

Developments over the coming year cover the Trust’s mental health, adult physical health and children’s services, to help people stay healthy, ideally at home. A continued focus on quality improvement runs across all areas, following the CQC’s inspection in late 2017.

The Care Trust is working in partnership with a range of local organisations to improve services and help people to stay well, ideally at home.

The Trust is working with health, care, voluntary and community organisations across the Bradford and Airedale Districts in local alliances, and more widely across West Yorkshire and Harrogate, to strengthen joint working and better meet people’s needs.

Dementia Assessment Unit

The award-winning Dementia Assessment Unit has made a real difference to the quality of care for local people affected by the condition. The video highlights the compassionate support available through the unit.

Safer spaces

We have three safer spaces for people of any age experiencing mental health crisis across Bradford, Airedale, Wharfedale and Craven. The safer spaces offer a warm, calm and safe environment, 365 days a year, as a possible alternative to A&E.
