Care Trust shortlisted for National Service User Award

Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust is celebrating, having been shortlisted for a National Service User award.
The awards celebrate patient projects in hospital services nationwide. The Trust has been announced as a finalist in the category Breaking Down Barriers Tackling Stigma for its festival of music and arts hosted at Lynfield Mount Hospital – LYNFEST. This was the first festival of its kind at the hospital for people experiencing mental health problems.
Allison Bingham, Deputy Director Specialist Inpatient Services at the Care Trust, said: “We are proud to be recognised at the national service user awards. This award reflects the dedication and commitment of staff, people who use our services and carers to demonstrate the positive effects music and art can have on mental well-being for all.”
The winners will be announced Wednesday 19 April 2017. The event will celebrate some of the many remarkable achievements and innovations led by service users in mental health services nationwide.
