For the first time, members of the public from across Bradford, Airedale, Wharfedale and Craven are invited to join governors and senior staff members at a digital version of Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust’s Annual Members Meeting, taking place on Tuesday 29 September, 3.00pm – 4.30pm through an online platform.

The event provides an opportunity for members of the public to learn more about the Trust’s current financial position, its achievements over the last 12 months, its reflections on the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic, and plans for the future. In line with the Trust’s strategic framework ‘better lives, together’, the meeting will be a valuable chance for people to put their own questions to the Trust Board of Directors and give their views about Trust services.

The meeting will also be a fantastic opportunity for the public to virtually meet the new chief executive, Therese Patten. Therese joined the Care Trust in September and has a wealth of NHS Board-level experience, working across community, mental health, acute and specialist healthcare. Prior to joining the NHS in 1999, Therese spent nine years working in health development in Zimbabwe, Somaliland, and Pakistan.  Therese will join the Board of Directors in answering questions from the public at the end of the meeting.

Members of the public can submit questions in advance to the Membership Office; please email questions to: ft@bdct.nhs.uk. Alternatively, questions can be asked on the day.  For those that cannot attend, responses to any questions raised will be published at www.bdct.nhs.uk after the event.

The live, online event will take place on the Microsoft Teams platform on Tuesday 29 September, 3.00pm to 4.30pm. If people would like to express their interest in observing the event, please email the Membership Office on ft@bdct.nhs.uk or phone 01274 251313.
