Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust will be holding its monthly Board meeting at the Craven Centre, Skipton General Hospital, on Thursday 29 March.

The ‘Board on the Road’ meeting is part of the Trust’s plans to ensure that members of the community across Bradford, Airedale, Wharfedale and Craven who use its services, have an opportunity to see the Board in action and find out more about the organisation’s work.

The Trust’s services include hospital and community mental healthcare, community adult physical health services, and children’s services that are available across the district. The Trust also provides support for carers whose loved ones are using its services. It recently opened the third branch of its ‘carers hubs’, that are spaces for carers to access advice and support, at Dyneley House Surgery in Skipton. The hub opened in November 2017 and offers carers a break from their role with free activities like arts and crafts, or having a cup of tea and a chat, on Wednesday afternoons 12:30pm to 3:00pm.

The Trust’s Director of Corporate Affairs, Paul Hogg, said: “We’re looking forward to holding our meeting at the Craven Centre. It will be an opportunity for people in Craven who might not normally have chance to attend to hear more about what we do and our plans for the future. Our services span across Bradford, Airedale, Wharfedale and Craven area.”

This month the Board will discuss the Trust’s health promotion resources strategy, an update on clinical information systems, and planned work following the recent Care Quality Commission report.

The meeting is open to all members of the public and will take place on Thursday 29 March, 1:30pm to 4:00pm, at the Craven Centre, Skipton General Hospital, Keighley Road BD23 2RJ.
