What to expect

If you have booked your appointment at the Bradford College Old Building NHS COVID-19 Vaccination Centre in Bradford using the national NHS booking system, you will receive confirmation of your appointment.

When you arrive, you will be asked to check-in and confirm your appointment. You’ll then have a brief clinical assessment, before getting your vaccine and then leaving the centre.

If you have any queries about your pre-booked appointment date or time, please call the national booking service on 119, or you can manage your appointment online.

If you’re bringing someone with you

Please ask them to wait outside. If you need assistance, they can go with you but please ensure they have a face covering (unless they are exempt from wearing one).

Please remember that even when you’ve had your vaccine, you still need to continue to follow all the guidelines, particularly on hand hygiene and social distancing, to control the virus and save lives.

icon of busBy bus:  You can reach the Vaccination Centre by bus, route 576 from Bradford Interchange (departs from Stand G). The third stop on Great Horton Road is a 2-minute walk away from the centre.  The Centre is a 12-minute walk away from Bradford Interchange.

icon of trainBy train:  You can reach the Vaccination Centre from either Bradford Interchange (a 14-minute walk away) or Bradford Forster Square (a 17-minute walk away), using the ‘by foot’ instructions.

image of carBy car:  Access the site from Carlton Street, via Tumbling Hill Street. Take a left from Thornton Road (B6145) onto Tumbling Hill Street, then take a left onto Carlton Street, where you will be greeted by our marshals who will guide you through the barriers to parking for the Vaccination Centre. There is limited parking on-site well and a drop-off area. There is additional parking at the University of Bradford, which is a 6-minute walk away and our marshals will direct you, if there are no remaining spaces on-site.

If you are using an app, please use the postcode BD7 1DD and the entrance to the Bradford College Old Building COVID-19 Vaccination Centre will be signposted.

image of foot stepsBy foot:  Follow signs to Bradford’s City Hall or City Park.

The Vaccination Centre is a 9-minute (0.4 mile) walk from City Park.

Once in City Park, exit onto Godwin Street, heading towards the Alhambra Theatre. Cross over the road and walk past the right-hand side of the Alhambra Theatre towards Great Horton Road and continue along Great Horton Road.

You will see the current Bradford College David Hockney Building on your right-hand side; continue and take the next right onto Carlton Street and the entrance to the Bradford College Old Building COVID-19 Vaccination Centre will be on your left.
