The Freedom of Information Act 2000 gives you the right to request information from any public authority. It promotes openness and accountability amongst public sector organisations. This is so that everyone can understand how authorities make decisions, carry out their duties and spend public money. Our Trust aims to fully support this. Any individual or organisation can make a written request for information to the Trust. You can do this by letter, email or text. You do not have to explain why you want this information. The act gives you the right to:

  • Be told if information exists; and
  • Receive information.

For more information see our accessing information using the Freedom of Information Act – a guide.

Our Information Governance & Records Management and IT Policies and Strategies are already available online.
