British Society of Paediatric Dentistry (BSPD) 2020 awards

The inspirational winner of BSPD’s 2020 Outstanding Innovation Award is Community Dental Officer Linzi Maybin for her Happy Teeth project. Based in Yorkshire and Humber, Happy Teeth is geared to building a brighter future for children with special educational needs (SEN) or children affected by the refugee crisis.

 

ROSPA Gold Award for Health and Safety

Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust has been recognised for the twelfth year running for its occupational health and safety by the Royal Society of the Prevention of Accident (RoSPA). For the sixth consecutive year, the Care Trust achieved the gold award at the internationally recognised  scheme.

Family Health services website wins digital award

The new 0-19 Family Health services website ‘Better lives, healthy futures‘ has won the ‘Bright Ideas and Innovation’ award in Health Tech News’s People and Partnership You in Mind Awards. The first phase of the site was launched in November 2019 to support the work of our health visitors and offers a 24/7 resource for parents and carers of babies and children up to four years old. Future phases will extend the content for older age groups and also support the School Nursing team.

Clinical Teaching Excellence Awards 2019- 20 Winners

The Leeds Institute of Medical Education have selected Dr Mahmood Khan, Consultant Psychiatrist and the Undergraduate Medical Education Team as winners for the Clinical Teaching Excellence Awards 2019-20. Dr Khan won the individual award for putting education at the core, with strong, sustained commitment. The Undergraduate Medical Education team won the team award following a longstanding history of placement innovation and enhancement where the team are involved in a number of high quality teaching sessions.
