ROSPA Gold Award for Health and Safety
Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust has been recognised for the eighth year running for its occupational health and safety by the Royal Society of the Prevention of Accident (RoSPA). For the second year running, the Trust achieved the Gold award at the internationally recognised scheme.
Healthcare People Management Association
Staff from our Human Resources team have won a prestigious award at the Healthcare People Management Association Excellence in Human Recource Management annual awards.
The team won first prize in the leadership development category for their unique programme, Engaging Leaders. The Engaging Leaders programme supports leaders at all levels to develop skills, knowledge and confidence to lead their work, teams and deliver high quality care services.
Dementia Quality Improvement Award
We were part of a team to win a Dementia Quality Improvement Award on the back of a pioneering project to support diagnosing people with dementia. The joint work between Bradford District Care Foundation Trust and Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust took place in memory clinics, and has focused on the use of PET (positron emission tomography) scans in difficult-to-diagnose patients.
IPS Centre of Excellence in Yorkshire
We have been recognised as a national ‘IPS Centre of Excellence,’ for helping people that use the our mental health services find work.
Gold award dementia services
We have been awarded a national gold award for our state-of-the-art dementia assessment unit (DAU) at Lynfield Mount Hospital. The facility has been given the highest accolade by the leading Dementia Services Development Centre (DSDC) at Stirling University, for its high-quality dementia friendly design that has been created with input from local carers, families and staff.
