Triangle of Care gold star
We were awarded a Triangle of Care gold star for our work in supporting the carers of people who use our services. The Triangle of Care is a collaborative relationship between a service user, their healthcare professionals and their carers. Its purpose is to ensure that carers have all the information that they need to continue looking after their loved one, and that clinicians can use the carers knowledge of the patient when making decisions.
NHS Employers #flufighter award for digital social media
The Care Trust won the national award for its digital social media campaign that encouraged staff to get a flu jab. The judges recognised the successful approach of the Trust’s immunisation team – ‘a mixture of fun and seriousness’ – that helped us achieve our highest uptake of 83 per cent across all staff.
ROSPA Gold Award for Health and Safety
Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust has been recognised for the tenth year running for its occupational health and safety by the Royal Society of the Prevention of Accident (RoSPA). For the fourth consecutive year, the Care Trust achieved the gold award at the internationally recognised scheme.
NAPICU Quality Improvement Project of the Year
The team at Lynfield Mount Hospital won the National Association of Psychiatric Intensive Care & Low Secure Units (NAPICU) Quality Improvement Project of the Year Award for their work on Clover Ward’s ‘Quality Improvement Journey in Providing and Delivering Enhanced Patient Care’.
JCN Outstanding Practice in Wound Care Award
Our tissue viability service has been highly commended by the Journal of Community Nursing (JCN) Outstanding Practice in Wound Care Awards for work on the venous leg ulcer pathway; the team has worked with district nurses to make sure that the assessment and treatment of patients with venous leg ulcerations was standardised and improved. The project resulted in improved healing rates and patient outcomes.
Annual CCG Awards
Our Interim Head of Acute and Community Mental Health Services, Grainne Eloi, was awarded the ‘Partnership Hero’ award at the Bradford Districts Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) annual awards.
Positive Practice in Mental Health Awards
Haven, based at the Cellar Trust, is a peer support service for adults in Bradford, Airedale, Wharfedale and Craven who are experiencing a mental health crisis. The Cellar Trust runs the service in partnership with Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust and Bradford Metropolitan District Council. The project won the ‘Mental Health Crisis and Acute Care’ category at 2018’s Positive Practice in Mental Health awards.
CIPR PRide – Regional Campaign of the Year
Our marketing communications team won the ‘Regional Campaign of the Year’ gold award at the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) PRide Awards (Yorkshire and Lincolnshire) for the Trust’s Time To Talk campaign, which successfully got communities talking about mental health.
