The Trust was commended in the Innovative in Mental Health category at the Health Business Award 2015.

The Trust’s Dementia Assessment Unit received a Commended Award at the Health Business Awards in the ‘Innovation in Mental Health’ category.

Yorkshire and Humber Leadership Awards

Lisa Wright, Head of Equality and Work Experience won Leader of Inclusivity of the Year at the Yorkshire and Humber Leadership Awards.

The Trust’s Board of Directors won Board/Governing Body of the Year at the Yorkshire and Humber Leadership Awards in 2015.

Tracey Corner, Patient Experience and Friends and Family Test Lead, was shortlisted in the Patient Champion of the Year category at the Yorkshire and Humber Leadership Awards 2015.

Nursing Times Award

Tracey Corner, Patient Experience and Friends and Family Test Lead won the Infection Control category at the Nursing Times Awards.

Our First Response Service was awarded the Nursing in Mental Health award by the Nursing Times.

 

The General Practice Awards

Our Primary Care and Wellbeing Service were shortlisted in the Clinical Team of the Year – Long Term Conditions category at the General Practice Awards.

 

 

Health Service Journal Awards

In partnership with local healthcare provider, the Trust was shortlisted in the Primary Care Innovation category at the HSJ Awards

Our Trust was shortlisted for Provider Trust of the Year at the HSJ Awards.

Our Board was shortlisted in the Board Leadership at the Health Service Journal Awards (HSJ Awards).

 

Payroll Awards

Bradford NHS Payroll Services won the Payroll Team Award in the Public Sector at the Payroll World Awards.

Jane Bridger, Head of Employee Services, was shortlisted in the Pride of Payroll category at the Payroll Awards.

Positive Practice Mental Health Awards

Our First Response Team was highly commended in the Commissioning in Mental Health category as well as the Innovation in Mental Health and Primary Care category at the Positive Practice Mental Health Awards.

Our Physical Health and Wellbeing Clinics were highly commended in the Integrating Physical and Mental Healthcare category at the Positive Practice Mental Health Awards.

National Association of Healthcare Fire Officers

Karen Byard, BDCFT Fire Officer, won the Research & Education Award at the National Association of Healthcare Fire Officers (NAHFO).

 

UNICEF (United Nations Children’s Fund) Baby Friendly Initiative

Our Health Visiting Service received international recognition from UNICEF (United Nations Children’s Fund) Baby Friendly Initiative for its work to increase breastfeeding rates and improve care for mums across the district.

 

British Institute of Learning Disabilities Awards

Dawn Langwade, Clinical Nurse, was awarded the Learning Disability Nurse Award at the British Institute of Learning Disabilities Awards.

She was described as “An inspirational practitioner with an amazing passion for patient centred practise with 30 years as a dedicated nurse who still cares passionately.”

Student Nursing Times Awards

Janette Irving, Community Nurse was awarded Mentor of the Year at the Student Nursing Times Awards.

 

 

 

Health Estates and Facilities Management Association Awards (HefmA Awards)

Our Food Services were awarded Team of the Year at the Health Estates and Facilities Management Association Awards (HefmA Awards).

 

 

 

Royal Society of the Prevention of Accident (RoSPA)

The Trust was recognised for the seventh year running for its Occupational Health and Safety at the Royal Society of the Prevention of Accident (RoSPA).

This year for the first time, the Trust was presented with a Gold award at the internationally recognised ceremony.

Chartered Institute of Public Relations InsideStory Awards

Our Communications Team were Highly Commended for Best Internal Event (You’re a Star Awards 2014) at the Chartered Institute of Public Relations #Insidestory Awards.

Six of our health visitors, Alison Dinsdale, Heather Cook, Joanna Howes, Kate Thompson, Sally Rushworth and Rugare Musekiwa, have been accepted onto the Fellowship programme Institute of Health Visiting (iHV)

Hille Halonen, Health Visitor was awarded the Mary Seacole Development Award by the Royal College of Nursing.
