The thank you events celebrate the work of volunteers across a range of roles, who get involved in Trust work in a variety of ways; from leading weekly walks and group activities, through Champions Show The Way, to providing support at the Trust’s Carers Hubs.

Volunteers also help to gather patient feedback to help shape the way care is delivered in the future to ensure services continue to meet the needs of our communities.

In December 2017, the Care Trust’s patient involvement and experience team held an afternoon tea event at the Bradford Hotel and invited people who use services and carers who had been involved in Trust work during the year.

The day was a great success, with live festive music from a ukulele band and speeches from the team about all the ways that people had contributed to the work of the Trust.

Read about the event, and how involvement benefits members of the community as well as the Trust.

The patient experience and involvement team will be celebrating again in December this year with another event for people who use Trust services and carers who choose to contribute to Trust work.

A volunteering service’s celebration event will also take place on 18 June with an afternoon tea at the Victoria Hotel. Volunteers work across the Trust with various teams providing support to services.
