Baby Talk - Keep in Touch Scheme

The Keep in Touch Scheme is designed to support NHS employees who are new parents, or parents-to-be. It's a great opportunity for you to make friends and share experiences with other NHS colleagues. Maternity Workshops and Baby Massage courses are available on a monthly basis throughout Bradford and Airedale. Partners are also welcome to come along.

Baby Talk: Maternity Workshop

Informal sessions are held over a lunchtime period where specialist speakers give support and advice on various maternity / work related topics, including maternity leave, childcare options and finance. If you have any specific questions that you would like us to answer, please let us know before the session.

Baby Massage Courses

Baby Massage is an ideal way for you and your baby to bond. Research has shown that the experience helps parents and baby form a secure attachment which can help make the transition into childcare smoother when you return to work. It can also benefit your baby's emotional and physical development. All babies are individual, and as such baby massage should be delivered by a trained instructor which will enable you to adapt the massage strokes to meet your own baby's needs. Our Childcare Co-ordinators are trained to the International Association of Infant Massage standards enabling them to facilitate this course. Specialist staff attend a selection of the sessions to give additional advice about returning to the workplace.

If you would like to find out the dates and venues of future sessions, or have any other questions about the Keep in Touch Scheme, please contact us on 01274 228321, or e-mail childcare.coordinator@bdct.nhs.uk
