Work experience is a key element of government education, employment policy and collaborative working between educational providers and employers and is seen as essential in ensuring an appropriately educated and skilled workforce of the future.
Work experience and other work related activities help potential employees make informed career choices. Positive work experience placements can influence career choices many years after.
Work experience supports members of the community, including people who have the experience of having used the service, the opportunity to build confidence and practice work related skills in preparation for employment.
