Getting Paid for Your Input
As a service user or carer we want your help to improve services. Because we value your time and effort we can offer to pay you or return your travel expenses. We appreciate everyone’s contribution, even if you don’t want to get paid.
There are a variety of ways to get involved. For example, you might be invited to meetings, asked to help write a document or attend a conference. The staff member inviting you to get involved will discuss what they want you to do and will talk through issues around payments and expenses with you.
They will also explain how much time it might take, what you are expected to do and how you can receive payment for any involvement or expenses.
