Urgent Response

If you or someone you are concerned about is experiencing a mental health crisis that requires urgent response, we can offer immediate support through our Accident and Emergency (A&E) Liaison teams.

A&E Liaison

Our A&E Liaison teams are based in the Accident and Emergency departments at Airedale General Hospital and Bradford Royal Infirmary.

If you need to attend either team, you will be assessed by a psychiatric liaison nurse or other mental health professional and referred or signposted to a relevant service.

Intensive Home Treatment (IHT)

Our Intensive Home Treatment teams offer a 24 hour service, seven days a week if you are acutely unwell and require significant support. Our teams of health and social care professionals aim to provide care closer to your home and prevent admission to hospital where appropriate.

To keep your stay in hospital as short as possible, our teams can also support you once you have been discharged if you need extra care at home.

We have two Intensive Home Treatment teams, one which covers the City & South and West areas of Bradford and one which covers, North Bradford, Airedale and Craven.

Referrals:
Referrals to the Home Treatment Team are made by GP’s, our Community Teams and  partner agencies within Bradford, Airedale and Craven.

Please note:
The Home Treatment service does not take referrals directly from members of the public.
