Media Enquiry

If you are a member of the media and have a press enquiry or want to set up a radio or TV interview please contact our Communications Team. They should be the first point of contact for all journalists contacting the Trust. The Communications Team will work closely with staff to provide an accurate and timely response. We politely ask you to provide us with reasonable lead times to respond to your enquiry.

During office hours (Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm) you can contact the Communications Team, on 01274 228174 / 363551 or
email communications@bdct.nhs.uk

If you have an urgent media enquiry outside usual office hours, please call 01274 363170 and ask to speak to the on call director.

Filming & Photography

All filming/photography requests must be made through the Communications Team. Under no circumstances may interviews, filming or photography be carried out on Trust premises without the permission of the Communications Team.

Patient Confidentiality

Our priority is patient confidentiality. This means that we are unable to release any information about a service user/patient unless we are given permission from the individual or next of kin.

Help to Reduce Stigma

As a journalist you can help reduce stigma surrounding mental health by reading the SHIFT Handbook. It is a useful resource to support you when covering mental health stories.
