You may have questions or concerns about the level and quality of care you receive from us. In most cases you may feel happy to raise your concerns with a member of staff, such as a therapist, doctor or receptionist. If you are not satisfied by their response or prefer to talk to someone not directly involved in your care then a PALS Officer can help.
PALS Officers can help you deal with concerns such as:
- The environment in a waiting room or ward
- A member of staff who has not treated you respectfully
- Transport or parking problems that have inconvenienced you
- Treatment options that have not been properly explained to you
PALS officers will:
- Listen to your concerns, suggestions or queries
- Respect your confidentiality
- Help to sort out any issues or concerns you have quickly
- Ask your permission before they act on your behalf
- Give information about other support groups that may be able to help you
- Provide information on NHS services
- Help meet your cultural and language needs
