We offer a wide range of services to all NHS staff and practising Health Promoters in the Bradford area. Our Library & Health Promotion Resource is based at Lynfield Mount Hospital in Bradford.
We offer a range of services and resources including:
- Books with particular emphasis on psychiatry and psychology, community care/nursing and health promotion.
- Journals in mental health, nursing, health promotion and related fields.
- A large number of health promotion materials including leaflets, posters, videos, teaching packs, display boards, anatomical models and information files.
- Access to the knowledge base of health care literature i.e. through databases such as Medline, Cinahl, Cochrane, Psychinfo.
Joining the Library
Staff and students from the following organisations are eligible to join the library:
- Bradford District Care Trust
- Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
- Airedale NHS Trust
- Bradford Council
- Practising Health Promoters across the Bradford and Keighley area, regardless of organisation, e.g. teachers, school nurses, voluntary or community group leaders
To join the library, just come along with your staff badge and/or a current form of identifiable documentation and we will do the rest.
Library Opening Hours
Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 5.00pm and Friday 8.30am to 4.30pm
Bradford District Care Trust staff can also access the library using a swipe card 24 hours a day, 7 days a week!
