You’re a Star Awards
Nominate your healthcare hero today
Every year we celebrate the achievements made by teams, projects, services and individual members of staff through You’re a Star Awards. This year we are giving you the opportunity to nominate a member of staff or team who deserve an extra special thank you.
Service users and carers can nominate a winner for the Working Together and the Making a Difference categories. They are for any person or team who you think has shown a real commitment to involving service users and carers. They are also for staff who you feel have gone the extra mile to improve the lives of others.
Community groups also get a chance to vote for those who have shown devotion to care with an emphasis on working with the community in the Working with Communities award.
You can nominate any employee or team from Bradford District Care Trust. This also includes people who work in the corporate and support functions (e.g. library and catering). People who do not work for the Care Trust CANNOT be nominated.
The deadline for entries is 02.09.2009
People who vote for a team that is shortlisted will be invited to a ceremony at the National media Museum on Tuesday 1 December. For further information please contact Sam Hirst, Acting Communications Manager, 01274 228174.

Sovereign Health Care
Sovereign Health Care have been supporting individuals with their health care needs since 1873, constantly changing the benefits they provide to match the changing world we live in.
Often described as a health scheme designed to pay out, the Sovereign Health Care Cash Plan covers individuals and companies by paying cash amounts when a variety of every day health care treatments are required.
The scheme can and should be used when both healthy and needing remedial treatment. Proactive checks on eyes and teeth will help support long term good health, and fast treatment to aches and pains can stop a condition becoming chronic.
And what’s more Sovereign support a whole host of health related charities helping to put something back into the community. Despite the economic downturn that has impacted on everyone including Sovereign, the charitable donations remains undiminished with £500,000 each year being giving to deserving health related causes.
Once again Sovereign are delighted to be supporting the Bradford District Care Trust 'You’re a Star' awards. Supporting health at work, health in the community and health care professionals creates a positive outcome for everyone involved with Sovereign Health Care. 136 years and still going strong, thanks Sovereign.
